Interfacing to iLogic from third party configurator to generate drawing

Has anyone generated 3D models using iLogic by pulling data strings/files from an external sales configurator?  If so, how was this done?

@Anonymous,

Can you please elaborate about third party configurator? Actually, iLogic always supports API related to Inventor.

Thanks and regards,

We are configuring, pricing, and quoting custom vehicles with a web CPQ software solution.  The software will enable the generation of parametric strings and/or calling of any external web service API.  From the iLogic documentation, I see that there is an EXCEL api that can be used to assign input values.  I have the following questions:

1. Is it possible to pass an xml or delimited string of values to drive the inputs and generate the drawing with iLogic functions?

2. Does this approach seem sensible to automatically generate an Inventor model and output?

Thanks

Reading xml values can be achieved through 3rd party assembly.

Inventor models can be generated by specifying appropriate parameters. Again, it also depends on complexity of Inventor model.

Thanks and regards,
