To whom it may concern,

I am currently working with Autodesk Inventor and need assistance with annotating the full coordinates (X, Y, Z) relative to a specific origin in my drawing from a referenced model. Specifically, the model has been positioned using relative origin values for X, Y, and Z. Therefore, the real coordinates should be calculated by adding these relative values to the given origin.

I have been attempting to find a streamlined method to directly extract and annotate these coordinates within my drawing. So far, I have explored the options of using work points, promoting dimensions, and creating iLogic rules, but I have not yet found a fully satisfactory solution.

Could someone please advise on the best practices or tools available in Inventor to achieve this task? Any scripts, automation techniques, or detailed steps would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,

You can bring a sketch from model to drawing view.

You can model a sphere in part.  Or add one to assembly.
