For those that have done alot of ilogic.

Is it faster if ilogic looks up the value in a excell file or in a multi value fx?

Thanks for the input

iLogic operations with multi-value parameters run in-process with Inventor. That’s why they are faster by the order of magnitude than any access to excel sheets.

But external excel file may be preferable if you need in centralized data source for a work group.

No just wanted to know what is faster I notice with 1000 multi value it takes a very long time for the drop down to drop. So I was just wondering if any one knew if putting them in a excel it would be faster.

So the question is: At which length of value list in multi-value parameter Excel alternative will be faster?

As I understand you have very good real-life data to give an answer.  It would be the great experiment. Please let us know.

Hi,

I agree Alink's comments. And I would suggest it will be of much help if there is a sample to demo the difference. Thus we could see if this is a limitation of iLogic, or something are missed
