ilogic rule to populate part# and weight of assembly in parts list

I am just beginning to understand ilogic and setting rules to expedite mundane functions. Currently, I am working on a set family drawings that use the same iassembly. The current layout for a parts list with several members selected will not work for our application for several reasons. Mainly, we need to provide a drawing that is similar to what the shop is used to.

Our compromise is to create a configuration drawing, with each iassembly member having a designated parts list. I would like the parts list title to populate the part number and assembly weight of the selected iassembly member.

While that can be done I'm sure...

Wouldn't it just be better in the long run to simply teach the shop how to properly read the Inventor parts list style?

How much more time are you going to be spending over and over on drawing creation just so people don't have to learn anything new?

I just hate having to compromise just because people are lazy/afraid of simple changes..

For better clarification: there are over 200 assembly members on this iassembly. Only using 12 members that have the same overall machined length, my initial parts list is as shown:Capture.PNG

This will not fit on a C size drawing, which the company's standard print size.
