iLogic- Rename files in rules changing Project

Hi,

we have some simple rules in parts in a project

es

Component.IsActive("MYPART:1") = False

 Using Vault or iLogic Copy design the new project have all parts ans iam with a new code ( es. 000-MYPART.IPT)

Code, obviously won't work.

Any idea to update all rules smartly?

I was thinking to a parameter in a master part, es NEW_JOB_CODE=000-

and insert it in all the rules strings (there are not so many)

In that was just changing the parameter in the master files (that will be derived) all the rules will be ready for the new job code.

In that case do you have any idea how as best approach?

At the moment I have fixed renaming in the browser.

Are there better workflows?

Hi @admaiora 

Naming or "stabilizing" the names in the browser as you have done, and having the names in the rules match those stabilized names rather than the part number, is the only solution that I am aware of.  Handling the occurrence names in this way allows the rules to find the components after a copy, and you can still set the Part Number iproperty in the new files using a "job code".
