I'm not sure if the Content Center error is caused by this error.

To fix the error: close Inventor and then use Windows Explorer to delete the file named  user.config  in the folder:

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Autodesk,_Inc.\DefaultDomain_Path_x5nyxfubr3fxchypjp0dclw0mzyz0ig3\Autodesk®_Inventor®_2011

This filename is shown in the error dialog.

If you see the iLogic Activation Dialog, it should show the full directory name.  This would be near the top of the dialog.

In any case, the following procedure should get you to the file:

Start a Windows Explorer window, showing any folder on your system.

Copy and paste this into the address bar:

%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk,_Inc.\DefaultDomain_Path_x5nyxfubr3fxchypjp0dclw0mzyz0ig3\Autodesk®_Inventor®_2011

On WIndows XP, %USERPROFILE% will probably be   C:\Documents and Settings\username

Hi,

When i try to create a tapped hole with Hole command in Inventor 2011, the thread options does not appear. Please find the image for the same. I have reinstalled the the software but still getting the same problem and hence i have to put threading annotations manually.

Please help me to resolve the issue.

Thanks.

Did you change anything on this computer?  Did threads work before in Inventor 2011 on this PC?

The threads data is stored in Excel format.  Do you have Excel installed on this computer?  Can you specify:

- Which version of Excel

- Which version of Windows

- 32 or 64 bit Windows?

To get the threads controls to appear, please try the steps (using regedit) in the attached excel.pdf file.

The pdf talks about  RegistryVersion12.0

Instead, to make it work in Inventor 2011 use RegistryVersion15.0

The full name of the registry value you have to edit is:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersion15.0\System\Preferences\Part\UseExcelToReadThreadFile
