iAssembly configuration

Hi All,

I have a few queries related to iassembly in inventor.

1. I have an iAssembly which has close to 7000 configurations in it.. Is there any way to create a automated drawing (any macros or ilogic code) without creating instances.

2. In the iAssembly author is there any way to increase the key value. coz as of now i see the maximum key value is  9.

Hi Suraj,

For your query 1:

It is not possible to create the drawings without instances.

Suppose if you  delete the iAssembly members from their folder once they are in use within designs. You will break association and potentially cause yourself a lot of rework.

There is a plugin by name AUTODRAW, which is available in Autodesk exchange app manager, please click on link https://apps.autodesk.com/INVNTOR/en/Detail/Index?id=5706339273400434437&appLang=en&os=Win32_64

This plugin generates drawings automatically.

For your query 2:

Indeed, there is a limit in terms of how many columns to be assigned as keys.

It's not possible to exceed more than 9.
