How to Protect parameter values on ipart Table?

I ve an ipart. I wanna protect parameter values against edit on their relevent coloumns. pls tell me procedure for it?

Hi,

I'm not sure you can.

All the iPart factory data is stored in an embedded excel file which you can also open for editing. Not sure if it is possible to make some cells read/only in a way that it would not interfere with Inventor behaviour. Also, then the user could simply remove that protection.

Password protection of the excel file is not possible because then Inventor would not be able to access the contents.

The only thing you could do is monitor any changes to the ipart table and then change things back or warn the user not to go through with the changes.

One solution I thought of but its not full proof.  Store the ipart factory and and its members in a library folder designation that is called out in your Inventor project file.
