Hi,
I built an Iassembly with Ilogic to generate a sheetmetal door which is re-used through multiple projects.
In the iAssembly table I make a row, change the displayed parameters, generate files, check it in to the vault and then use the assembly in the generated folders in the project.
I found out this doesn't really work due to the parts in the iAssembly not being iParts, this means the ilogic driven dimensions in the parts conform to the activated row of the assembly. I assume it is necessary to make this assembly out of iParts which brings me to the actual question:
How do i have the iAssembly generate a new now in related iParts and make the iAssembly utilize that row without having to manually make iParts? I don't seem to find the solution to the issue. Reuse of existing assemblies is incredibly difficult in my opinion. For example Fusion360's configurations update which came in Octobre completely surpasses Inventors abilities in that field...How do I get this to work in a convenient manner?
Thank you!
