Form Button in Ribbon

Hey all,

I'm creating a set of templates for my office. I'd like to lock them out of iLogic, because we don't need people messing with that, but I want them to have access to forms that I've created within the templates. Is there a way to place form buttons in the ribbon?

Thanks!

Hi nealon.luke,

I would make those forms (and rules) global (external) rather than internal, and then follow this:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-general-discussion/create-a-ribbon-button-for-an-ilogic-rule/...

What you will find is that if you make those rules and forms internal, is that in 6 months when you want to upate the form or the rules, that you will now have multiple copies of them in each file that was created from the template since then, and it becomes a mess.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
