Flexible Assembly - Moves WorkPoint - Not projecting properly

This is a little complicated, but I think we have an Inventor design error.

  • Create a part file with a point in it.
  • Create an assembly and constrain that part file with a flexible constraint (one that can move and snap back)
  • Add a work point in this assembly to a point on that part file that via flexibility will move with the part file.
  • Create a master assembly, insert the to be flexible assembly, turn on its flexibility.
  • Create a constraint to move the part file away from its original position and hold it there.
  • Create an IDW.
  • Place a view to the master assembly.
  • Browse the assembly tree to the low level assembly, and find the workpoint, include it.
  • The workpoint creates a centermark not in the new flexible position, but in the originally placed position. - and there is the error.

The user can't get around this issue.  The developer might be able to, through some clever transformation matrix, but if Inventor refuses to link the workpoint to its proxy flexed position, then the developer and user are helpless.
