I have never worked with Inventor before, but I need to research a few things for work (we’re trying to determine whether or not we should start using it). Previously, we’ve developed Plug-Ins for AutoCAD, and an important aspect of our work was the possibility to create custom objects. If the Plug-In (either provided by ourselves, or a vertical product like AutoCAD Mechanical) is available, you can work with these objects without any problems, otherwise AutoCAD creates proxy objects in their stead.
Is there a similar function in Inventor? I tried to look it up in the API help, and I also searched this forum, but couldn’t find anything.
