Decal image on drawing

Hi all. 

I used the decal feature to emboss an image onto a surface of a part. When I can to create the drawing from the part, it did not show up. 

Can anyone advise why and how to get round this?

You can set the drawing view style to Shaded to view the image. The steps:

Edit the drawing view->Component->Style->press the Shaded button->OK.

Yes, I knew of this. 

Sorry I should have explained more clearly - is there a way of displaying a decal image without using shaded view?

Then that would be a new requirement for Inventor to support. You can log to IdeaStation for this.
