We use Inventor and vault. Use excel to control a skeleton for many parts to assembly. How can I work with a shared excel sheet, where many people can put in parameters in the excel-sheet at the same time. When we check-out  the excel-sheet it's placed  in wault workingfolder on local drive, that means that only one can work on the excel sheet at the time. We have some very big solutions, and it would help us a lot if we could find a solid solution.

It sounds like Vault is not the ideal solution for you in this scenario as the whole purpose of Vault is to keep multiple people from modifying a given file at one time.

It sounds like you need to have the excel file stored in a server path that all eligible users can read and write to and setup the workbook to be a shared workbook. Excel will then manage and alert all users of changes in real time. We used to do this with our engineering logs years ago at another company. Another option would be to us Microsoft Sharepoint.
