I would like to create some custom Tutorial Gallery files to assist with training up new users of Inventor with our company templates. I can see that the TG plug-in uses a "json" file and a folder with the same name as the json file. The screen recording videos are stored in a subfolder and referenced by the json file. All good so far.
The 2 issues that I have are to do with the webm file itself.
- The screen recording is done via Autodesk Screencast but the editing of that video must be done prior to upload to the Screencast server where it is produced and stored. Is there any way of editing that video file (not the permissions which is all you seem to be able to change on the Screencast Dashboard)? Having to re-record everything because your video is slightly too long is really painful. Which brings me to issue 2....
- Is there any guidance as to the length of video or size of the webm file? I have files that are 20MB that play fine, but another at 37MB that won't play inside of the Tutorial Gallery. And if I can't re-edit the video to get to the right size for it to fit, the whole process is going to go round in circles.
Any help or guidance on how to create custom Tutorial Gallery files will be gratefully received. (I know how to create them, I just need to know the limits).
Many thanks in advance
Pete
