Copying iLogic Rules to new drawings

I have written some VBA which allows old drawings to be updated to the new border & revision table style etc.

It also can change the sheet size to A4, A3.. etc

Our new templates have some iLogic rules, these need to be added when the sheets are updated (or not if the sheet is just changing size). Is there any way of remotely adding these pre-existing rules? Do they need to be saved as external rules?

I also want these rules to be triggered by the same triggers as they usually would be in the normal templates- I've seen some stuff about launching external rules but I don't think this is what I want
