We looking for a add-in, that can use the iLogic copy design via the API.
We have a large library of "standard" components, and our engineer needs to select some "standards" and copy them into his project. This copy is currently being made in Vault using the copy-design tool. (This is not productively enough)
What we are looking is a add-in that is displayed in the Assembly menu (but that shouldn't be a issue).
This button should contain a dropdown box with some categories and within these category's a list of available "standards".
When the user makes his selection it should prompt a window that allows you to put in a prefix for the filename and add a location where the design should be copied to. (Current assembly location + "\User input\").
Then the copy design tool needs to do it's magic and copy all .iam, .ipt & .dwg files that are linked with the file selected for copy.
After the copy design it should place the new design into the assembly and that's it.
Does something like this already exist? If yes where can i find it? If no, can this be made? And how do i start 😉 ?
