Is there any way to assign a specific color to a user defined axis or plane? This would be very helpful when constructing assemblies with many positional reps when objects are difficult to differentiate due to small geometry differences.

Hmmm. I don't know how to do this, but it would be great if it was possible.

Thanks for the reply. If it isn't in there now it's best that I forget it.

Inventor doesn't support changing the color of work planes, axes, or points.  The easiest thing to do is to name them something that makes sense and then use the browser for selection.

A workaround with colors, but it would be a lot more work, would be to draw client graphics over the top of the work geometry.  That way it can be any color you want.  You could still restrict selection to the appropriate work geometry but the graphics would draw over the top of it.
