are there any As-built joints in Inventor?

Hi there!

My name is David and i decided to move from Fusion 360 to Inventor because i heard that this program is better when it comes to complex assemblis. but when i started working in it, i quickly saw that the are no "As-build joint" feature. Why is that? it is a such useful think to have and honestly some assemblies i don't really know and imagine how to assemble whitout it. Not to mention that the joint feature in inventor it is soo annoying in comparison to the Fusion one. Can someone please help me?

Well, It's a bit hard to find the same functionality when we switch the software, however, as I can see "As-built joint" seems more like "Joints" constrain in an assembly. The below link could help you to understand more about it. 🙂

@bhavik4244

thanks for the time that you put into trying to help me, but the problem is that i did't saw any joint or constrain in Inventor that works like the "As built joint" feature from fusion 360. That function basiclly is like a contrain that keeps a component in the same place relativ to another component. Imagine a rigid joint between 2 components without selecting any points or moving them when the joint it is made. If there is such a function in Inventor can some please show me it?

There is an option to do so is with "place at component origin". I think that could work for you.

Hi, there is one option in Constraint dialog to do so with "Predict offset and Orientation" for Mate and Angle. You could have a try
