Hi,
I'm using Inventor 2016 and currently trying to set my appearance and documents settings how I want it but not succeeding.
I've set the application option to "Use Document settings" and made a new template part file. If I open it from the template location and change for example Appearance options to "Show all shadows", "Show reflections" and Visual style to be "Monochrome" then save. Next time I create a new part from that file it is shown using my Application settings (Shaded with edges, shadows and no reflections(?)), not Document settings. I've also tried just saving the changes to the part file itself and reopen that but without success. Everything I've tried so far doesn't work, everytime I open up a file that I've changed the appearance settings of before it shows up using the Application settings.
What I'm trying to achieve is to have my default settings (saved in my template files) to show shadows, reflections, shaded with edges but If for example I have a big assembly then I want shadows/reflections to be turned off for that assembly, every time I open it. Which is what the option "Use Document settings" should allow me to do but for some reason it doesn't work.
The attached part file even have the thumbnail showing that the display option is monochrome and yet it doesn't work.
Would be very happy if anyone had a solution to this.
Best,
Fredrik
