Adding a drop down list in a Form

I am new to using these Forms in iLogic but was curious if anyone could tell me how to have a field that is populated from a drop down list?  

Also looking how to add buttons and conditions on fields such as "Read Only".

adding a drop down selection list to a form you need a user text parameter first and make a multi-variable list then add that parameter to the form.

As for adding buttons not sure about that one.

Would this be done using an iLogic rule? Sorry still a little new at this.

No. In the parameters window or add the user parameter. And then in the form editor you drag and drop that parameter to the form.
