Add leader with rubber band, insert text

Hi

I'm looking to achieve a way of pasting text into a leader while being able to position it natively in a drawing sheet. What I mean by that is something similar to the following:

Select text from form

Text gets copied to clipboard

Leader command starts

Click start point, text position point 

Text is entered / pasted into text window

Or put another way

Select text I want on my sheet from a form

Position the leader on the form

Text is entered into leader

I can currently do this but I cant pre position the leader points or show the leader attached to the mouse pointer.

Any way of of doing this?
