Add In icons

Hello,
I've been following the same rules with regard to the colour of my icons as
those of the bitmaps we use for macro buttons, however when used for an
icon, the pink turns out black, How do we get a transparent background to
our add ins?

Thanks

The Picture you use for a icon has to have its transparency set. In Paint Shop Pro there
is a option when saving a graphics file to gif and bmp I think that you can set one pallet
color to transparent.

I've always just set the background to the normal gray color (I guess
however of course if people tweak their default settings in Windows this
could cause problems)

For icons, you must use Magenta as the background color (RGB 255,0,255) to
be transparent and for images (i.e. on buttons) the lower left pixel becomes
the transparent color.

It is not necessary to use Magenta. Most of the tool icons on the
bottom of KWiKViews have gray backgrounds but you don't see the gray
when they are inserted into the form.

Here is the Save Option dialog in Paint Shop Pro 4. You can see that
you can set transparency to any 1 color you want.
