Hello Forum,
I wanted to show off a tool I recently made to automate sheetmetal components.
Any simple shape can be converted to a fully built sheetmetal assembly.
It's built as an addin in Inventor.
I used this forum quite a lot while developing this, so I thought, why not also show the result here too.
Especially with matrix and vectors I had a quite the learning curve ahead of me.
I enjoyed the whole process of imagining a workflow to ultimately realize it and engineers using your tool.
It's pretty incredible what you can build inside Inventor as a 3th party.
This is designed for chutes between conveyor belts, but could also be used for different products, for example ducting.
I did quite some CTO configurators / skeletonmodelling in the past, but this is something entirely different.
I have no name for it, perhaps freeform builder? I don't know
