XY plot based on average stress along edge

XY plot based on average stress along edge

As we know, In Inventor Nastran "The XY Plot uses the stress at the center of the elements that are along the edge, In this example(refer to the images), the elements "above" the selected edge have a higher stress than the elements "below" the edge. It is clear from the XY Plot that half of the points are for the elements above and half of the points are for the elements below"

Because the plot is from the element centroid on either side of the edge, the plot is at two different locations, one on either side of the edge. Different locations have different stresses, so the plot looks jagged

We want the XY plot based on along edge that we have created. so the result XY plot show smoother graphic line.
It so Important to taking stress according to the recommended method from international standards.

Hi @aji.sugiyantoro

I agree that it would be helpful if there was an option to smooth the element results in the XY Plot. In the meantime, I have updated the article How to Understand XY Plot of Element Along Selected Entity in Inventor Nastran to clarify the images and give the instructions to do what you want with the current software. That is done by activating the output of GPSTRESS (Grid Point STRESS) and plotting the nodal stress along the edge. See the updated article.
