When setting analysis type, OK button does not work

I'm working in Inventor Nastran 2023, doing a Linear Static problem with thermal expansion.  The steps, as I understand them, are to run a Linear Steady State with Heat Transfer (LSSwHT) analysis to get the node temperatures.  I then duplicate the analysis and change the type of the new analysis to Linear Static analysis and use the output of the LSSwHT analysis as a load in the static analysis.  However, when I right-click the analysis, chose Edit, and change the analysis type to Linear Static, or any other analysis type, the OK button does not close the dialog box.  All the other buttons in the dialog box work, but not the OK button.

My workaround at the moment is to keep the duplicate analysis as the LSSwHT and run it again, then change my original analysis back to Linear Static.  The OK button works on this dialog box.

Workable, but annoying.  Are there any thoughts on how to fix this?  Thanks

Hi Gordow,

One known problem with the Edit > Analysis window is if you are changing the title/name of the analysis. Some characters are not acceptable, such as :%?\ and others. Any character that cannot be used when naming a file cannot be used in the title/name entered on the dialog.

If this is your problem, just enter a different title/name for the analysis. 🙂

Sometimes it's the simple things that catch you up.  This appears to be the solution.  I had the analysis name as Linear Static w/HT.  After changing the "/" to  "_", the OK button worked.  A popup dialog box would have been helpful here...

Thanks, John
