Unrealistic results

Hello Everyone,

I am performing Linear analysis  on a simplified trailer model which includes lots of big and small parts. The trailer is stationary on 6 support there are 5 hooks on the upper right corner of the Trailer and each hook is pulled with 2kN force.i have used default settings and mesh table, and solver contact for the contact generation. After lots of complications, simplifications in meshing and model and removing the error, the simulation has finally run but the results I am getting are very unrealistic. The stress and and displacement I am getting is in millions. yes i did apply some changes in Parameters like:

ELEMGEOMCHECKS - off

NCONTACTGEOMITER - 0

DECOMPMETHOD - Auto

Is it beacuse of the changes in the parameters or what can be the possible reasons for such absurd Results.

Thank you

Hi, Anurag,

With the pictures you shared it's not that easy to underdstand why you have that large displacement and stress.

It looks that one node is stretching an element and generating this high values.

Could you have a look in the area where the element is stretched and try to understand why ?

Hi @benoit.neu-faber ,

Thanks for your reply not just a node is streching actually the whole model is getting crushed after the simulation.

I counld'nt find out the reason its quite frustrating.

thank you

Hi,

Would it be possible to have the model ?
