I have just completed FEA on a winder and have observed a stress distribution significantly lower than what was expected. I have applied a load of 121500N which acts between the two guides (largest circular discs as per the attached image). The entire model is left unrestrained except for the shaft ends which are fully restrained. Additionally, all surface contacts are bonded.
I know this is a bit vague but if anyone would be able to suggest ideas around why the maximum stress is so low it would be greatly appreciated.
