UNDERRUN REAR COLLISION LOAD APPLICATION

Hi,

I'm currently running some cases on a underrun on truck (non linear static). I'm having trouble deciding how to apply the load to give a genuine result. The case comes from a standard and calls for 400kN to be applied across the below blue surfaces plus the end of channel to replicate a rear collision.

What is the best way to apply this considering the Bracket holding the RHS will yield past the channel face forcing the channel to take the brunt of the load? I've run it with the 400kN applied as a standard load across the faces and edges and feel this result isn't accurate.

Any help much appreciated.
