Troubles with Random Vibration Fatigue

Hi everyone,

I've got some troubles in setting up a random vibration fatigue analysis. I attatched the model to this post. The analysis works without any errors but i don't get any results in SOLID DAMAGE and SOLID LIFE after running my analysis. I edited the S-N data for steel and created a psd-tabel with random values for PSD for every freuquenzy.

Can someone please show me the mistake i made in my analysis?

Thanks,

Christof

PS: I've got another question: Is it possible to use the vram of my nvidia Tesla k40 to run my analysis?

(sorry for my bad english)

Hi Christof,

I ran the model that you attached. When I set the results as follows, I get a contour plot of the results.

Can you clarify what the problem is specifically? For example,

  • Are you saying that these menu options (RMS Output, Fatigue, Solid Damage) do not exist?
  • Do you have those menu items but the contour doesn't show?

If it makes sense, please attach an image of what your contour plot shows.

Hi John,

thank you for your response. It works for me as well. I didn't know that i had to select RMS OUTPUT to get the results (what after reading some more basics makes totally sense).

Greetings,

Christof
