TRAILER analysis

Has anyone tried running through the trailer analysis tutorial recently.

It's a bit of a mess!

You cannot easily turn on/off the box section solid.

Once you've got it turned off, you cannot display it again.

Finally when trying to select the mesh elements to add constraints to, you cannot select them.

Oh, and if you do manage to select an edge you then get the "geometry not applied at a valid FE mesh location" when you run the analysis.

I just ran the tutorial. No problems at all.

So tell me which version of Nastran In-CAD are you using? Did you apply al available updates?

Running exact same version. See my screencast. No issues.

Are you sure HF1 was applied correctly?

Have you tried reinstalling Nastran In-CAD?

There is something strange going on here then, as the whole class had the same problems. I will start again with the latest dataset and report back.

I opened the trailer frame assembly and not the part Ahhh! sorry guys.
