Spring (CBUSH) Connector visibility during results visibility

Hi everyone!

I'm not able to turn off CBUSH element visibility during non-linear results visualization in Inventor Nastran 2023.

Is there a way to remove this element visibility?

*CBUSH was applied to stable plate during spring back effect after bending. It was a good way to make symmetric model, but I haven't good results with symmetry near contact region of plate and punch.

Hi @vanderson.mapdata

I do not know for sure, but I suspect the answer is no -- you cannot hide the spring element in the results.

  • If it is possible, it would be to use "Results > Options > Part View" and select all the CAD parts to be shown. Normally, that would hide unselected "parts". But I think that engineering elements/parts like springs and beams used for bolt connectors will not hide.
  • There are three locations to hide connectors, but that only hides the "fake CAD body" or symbol that represents the item. For a spring connector, this hides the blue spiral that shows an image of the spring. That is different from the actual spring element that is shown in the results. (The three locations to hide a connector: (1) Right-click on the model tree entry, (2) from the ribbon "Display > Connector, (3) from the ribbon "Results > Options > Visibility" tab.)

Hi @John_Holtz

Thank you very much for your comments!

I haven't tried these options before, they all make sense and unfortunately the spring element is not hidden.

Attached is the video with the test procedure, and it was also tried with the screw connector and the beam element was not hidden either.

I'll post as an idea for improvement in future Inventor Nastran version.
