Nastran in CAD Missing vertical color scale for stress or deflection on screne

Hello,

I am missing the vertical scale on the output of NASTRAN in CAD and do not know how to turn it on. It show stresses or deflections in a color scale. I do not know what it is called, so I cannot find it in any help function. Can someone tell me what it is called and how to turn it back on?

Thanks.

Hi Frank,

I call it the contour legend or something like that. I am not aware of any way to turn it off, but there are a couple of situations in which the legend is not shown:

  • If you use the section view in Inventor (such as "View > Half section view"), the contour legend is not shown.
  • If the results are identical throughout the entire model, the contour legend is not shown. This does not happen very often. For example, maybe you have 1 bolt in the model and you are looking at the axial force. Since the axial force is constant in the 1 beam element present in the model, the legend is not shown.

Let us know if the problem was one of those items.
