Mesh dimension problem

Hi everyone, I have a problem when generating the mesh through the interface "mesh table".

When I have to re-generate a mesh, for example after a change in the body geometry, it happens that the mesh is generated with a random dimension, not corresponding to the one displayed in the mesh table (with no message of error). To generate the mesh of the desired dimension, the only way I found was to change the dimension in the table, to generate the mesh with a different dimension with respect to the desired one, and, then, setting again the desired dimension and generate the mesh a second time. That process is a big waste of time, especially for complex geometries that may take 20-30 minutes to generate the mesh.

Anyone has experienced the same issue?

Hi @sdassie . Welcome to the Inventor Nastran forum.

This issue has been reported to the development team. What I do is click the "Delete" button to remove the mesh from the selected part(s), then click "Generate Mesh".

Thank you for the answer. Unfortunately, not always this solution works. Most of the times if I click "delete" and then "generate mesh" without changing the element dimension, the mesh is generated with the default dimension (tipically much bigger than the desired one). I'm using Nastran 2025.
