Hi all.
I am using Autodesk Inventor Nastran 2022. When analysis is running, Fatal error S1053 often occurs, although I open only Autodesk Inventor Nastran. Anyone could tell me the reason why this error occurs and how to solves this error.
Thank in advance!

Hi @ktranQNAG6
What is an S1053 error? Can you copy the complete series of lines that are related to that error message? (It would be best to use Notepad to open the .log file, locate the error, and copy the text.)
Also, are there other warnings or errors that may be related to the S1053 error? The end of the .log file includes a Warning and Error Summary where all are listed.
My guess is the folder where the temporary analysis files are located (defined by the Parameter FILESPEC) is being interfered with by Windows. Perhaps there is automatic backup software that is backing up the analysis files as they are being changed?
P.S. From the Help,
S1053 | FATAL ERROR: S1053 | FILE: filename UNABLE TO OPEN, STATUS: n |
Cause: | The specified file could not be opened. The file may be already opened by another application.
Action: | Close any application that may be using the file.
Remarks: | None. |
Hi John.
Thanks for you reply.
This is error message which I copied from Log file:
FATAL ERROR S1053: FILE: C:\P...\ML13U70U006172.NDB UNABLE TO OPEN, STATUS: 30
And this warning and error message summary
WARNING AND ERROR MESSAGE SUMMARY
WARNING G3051: MODIFYING SECONDARY GRID - POSITION ON CONTACT ELEMENT - (18)
WARNING G3057: PART PROPERTY - HAS ZERO MASS (12)
WARNING E5075: BISECTING CURRENT LOAD INCREMENT (5)
WARNING E5079: EXCESSIVE ELEMENT INTERNAL LOAD(S) DETECTED (5)
I run Nonlinear analysis.
Thank you.
Hi,
I do not know what the problem is.
The message is referring to the folder "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Nastran 2022\Temp". Perhaps the number of files (or total size of the files) in the folder is too large. This is what I suggest:
Hi John,
As you suggested I deleted the files and folders in "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Nastran 2022\Temp", it ran fine.
Thank you so much.
