displacement Boundary condition in Nastran

Hello,

I have a thin cantilever slab. Thickness = 0.5 mm, Length  =40mm, width = 20mm
I would like to press/push the free end / edge by 2 mm.

I don't want to use pressure or Force boundary condition.

Would you please suggest me which existing boundary condition in Autodesk Inventor Nastran 2020 could I use.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Cheers,

Sivam

Hi Sivam. Welcome to the Inventor Nastran forum.

You need to look under loads: Enforced Motion > Displacement and apply it to the end of the model.

Be sure to add a Constraint to the same geometry and "fixed" in the same direction and the enforced motion. The enforced motion moves the constraint, and the constraint moves the model.

Dear John,

Very helpful.

This video was also helpful, Particularly at 4:02 and 5:25
