Hi I wonder if any has had experiance with getting different result on a previous model just after updating to a never version of Nastran. I was opening my colleuges Model and it showed considerbly different results compared to what he had on the screen. This was strange all I did was to download the same model from Vault with the same set up and mesh and run it. So we decided to check. Two collegues got the same stress plot and two other got a complete different. but all showed a general stress level twice of what it should be with different peaks stress 456MPa versus 623MPa
We decided to update the NASTRAN and voila all got the same result. By benchmarking with another software FE package and the simplified stress analysis we concluded that the latest update of NASTRAN was showing the correct one.
