Can the analysis run on a distributed server

Hi,

I am currently just a student doing my Master's in Computational Material Science . Previously when I used to work I was working in Inventor Nastran doing some projects like Nonlinear Transient Response test and in my local machine I used to control the number of threads to run the analysis. For this kind of parallelization I would like to know what is happening behind the scene for parallelization .

1. Are there any openMP or MPI functionalities in the code which can go this parallelization?

2. Can the analysis be run on a HPC (High performance computing - Distributed server) ?

Looking forward for some reply .

Hi @Aadithya01

  1. We are not able to disclose how we achieve the parallelization.
  2. Nastran does not support distributed computing.

Good luck with your degree.
