Automatically run ilogic rule upon opening assembly

Hi All 🙂

The .IAM automatically gets opened by an external script.

I have an Ilogic rule in my assembly.

I'd like the Ilogic rule to automatically run when the .IAM gets opened, without any user interaction.

Something like opening inventor with -arguments would do the trick, but I couldn't find any information about how to achieve this.

We don't have Autodesk Forge, and we'd prefer to keep everything local instead of in the cloud.

In the Ilogic rule under options -> Behavior of this rule, I have " Don't run automatically" unchecked.

Hi @systemerorr41

You can use an Event Trigger for this, see attached image.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,

Woah, it's that easy, huh? Thanks!

Would it also be possible to write this as code in the rule itself?

Hi @systemerorr41,

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. What are you waning to write into the rule?

I hope this helps.
