As a designer I would like to hide and show components as I need it for the current situation. This includes the visibility of sub components in nested assemblies/sub assemblies. In the past users did this with the LOD (Level of Detail) as only the visibility was impacted - not the rotation of the view itself. Switching between LODs allowed the user to switch between different visibilities back and forth and the 3D model stayed "static" on the screen. Doing this with saved views will result in a 3D model that jumps around on the screen. Also the linking functionality between saved views is missing. LODs with the same name could be linked together across subassemblies. This is possible using iLogic - but it would help to enhance the views also by this functionality. There should be also a possibility to always keep the associativity of the views without getting a message. (probably a document setting)
