Visibility of Work Features

Visibility of Work Features

I like my models nice and clean to look at. That’s why I usually set every work feature (planes, axes, points) to invisible. After all, if I need them I can select them in the browser.

I would like to have an option to “Set work features invisible after creation”. I imagine this as a checkbox in the application options.

Are you looking for something other than or deeper than View>Object Visibility>All Workfeatures?

I think this correlates with the issues presented in this idea:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/work-plane-visibility/idi-p/6004723

I believe the request is every time a work feature is created it automatically turns the visibility off.

My question would be how would that help if someone turns the work features on?  Then it still on.

My preference would be to hide all work features upon Save to eliminate the visual mess of work features at up levels that turn on every time a work feature is created at the top levels.  To take it a step deeper is to have App options that can be configured to control each object visibility upon save.  I prefer to have all Object Visibility off except Welds when exiting a drawing for the Default View Rep.

Not trying to hijack the post, just brainstorming on it.

Hi folks,

no, I wasn’t looking for the command to turn off all work features. And yes, my idea kinda relates to the old one.

My idea was just to turn off the visibility of all work features by default. I just think this would eliminate much hassle further on.

As I wrote, you can always pick a work feature in the browser. Or make it visible.

Regards
