VaultStatusIcon and FileTypeIcon in FileTabs

Please include the vault status (if working with a vault project) and the file type in the file tab to create a better overview.
When many files are open, some of them you can't see the file extensions and can't see the file type without opening the tab.
Also seeing the vault status in the tabs would be really helpful so you don't always have to click into the tab to see if the file is checked in, checked out or locked.

Could look something like this:

I'm not sure if I have a different setting somewhere, but on my system I can always see the extensions, however if I have too many files it cuts them off and I have to click the arrow to scroll over. I think if we have the icons it gets rid of the need for the filetype extension too. So in a case where you could see the extensions, this would take up roughly the same amount of space. Meaning it would add to ease of use without actually taking away anything.

Consider voting for this related idea that would allow color coding of the tabs at the bottom based on file type. Depending on a user's vision, colors may not be ideal, but this could help for saving space on the bar vs putting the icon, or it could be used in combination depending on the user's preference.
