Did you mean:

vault status and check out from bom

vault status and check out from bom

so i find my self using the bom quite often to edit iproperties only when a file is not checked out so i have to go do so but would be a lot easier if you could just do this from the bom it would have to have the vault status icons of course as files may need to be refreshed. it could also have columns for categories and state where these could be changed also.

Add children as well option should be good
Hi Dan

Yes a vote for option 1 as most of the time its to modify correct i-properties within the BOm structure of the part whist working within the BOM editor

Option 1. KISS

Hi Dan,

I was browsing the world wide web to see if other users had suggested this already, which they have. I was not asked, but my 2 cents goes to option 1.

One slightly similar issue/idea: Could technology from above be added to iPropertiesiProperties check out.PNGiProperties check out.PNG dialog? Today, or at least in Inventor R2016, I often open iProperties, then close, then check out, then open iProperties and finaly add Description.

Anwender wünschen sich die Möglichkeit auch aus der Stücklistenansicht Komponenten direkt aus Vault auszuchecken.

Status changed to: Implemented

This idea has been implemented within Autodesk Inventor 2019. Special thanks to everyone who cast a vote for it.

I love the fact that you have implemented this idea.

However, the Vault check out is only available if you open the BOM from within an Assembly File.

If you do this within a drawing and from the parts list / right click / Bill of Materials

You do not have the option to check out from Vault.

What is this limitation about? Can we have this functionality within the Drawing BOM environment as well?

Hello @mindink

Would you mind authoring this as a New Idea, so we can track it as a separate post?  I feel it is a great idea and it is currently buried within this "Implemented" idea.  Thanks for considering.
