User Defined View Scale list

Allow the user to define the default list of available view scales for an IDW view.

The existing list is short. Sure, I can type one in, but that costs me time.

It would serve the user better to allow him to define the default scales he uses and populate the list with those thereby shortening the time it takes to get down to business in the drawing. Classify it as a better user experience.

This is already possible to do using the Style and Standard Editor in your idw template.

Open your idw template file (typicaly C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2014\Templates\Standard.idw)

In the manage ribbon select Styles Editor

In the list on the left select the active standard

In the section "Preset Values" select "Scale" in the dropdown list and set the list of scales you would like

Click "Save" and "Done"

Just do not forget to save you drawing template after modifying the style.

Does THAT classify as a better user experience? 😉

I've been away from creating drawing standards so long that I totally overlooked the obvious.
