Update the Symmetric constraint in a part sketch to constrain the bisector

Update the symmetry constraint in sketch mode to allow you to find or constrain the bisector of two lines.  Looking at the help:

I want to start with line 1 and 2 fixed in place and constrain line 3 to be symmetric to them.

It should be the same math and the current symmetric constraint - you can end up with the exact constraint I want, I just want to get there differently.

Just to be clear, the desire is to constrain two projected lines (line 1 and line 2) around line 3 which is free to move, thus making line 3 a bisector of the angle between lines 1 & 2, or, if they are parallel to each other, a centerline between them.

This currently works for all situations where lines 1 & 2 are fixed in place, except where both of them are projected geometry (Inventor 2017).

@SBix26 What you said confuses me, sorry still on my first cup of coffee.  I read what you are saying and I think it matches what I want, but in my head you are saying it backwards.  I want to constrain line 3 symmetric to lines 1 and 2.

The current constraint allows that, but you have to have the symmetric line in existence already.

What I have are lines 1 and 2 already in place and fixed.  Line 3 does not yet exist.  I want to create line 3 and then apply a constraint to have it be symmetric about lines 1 and 2.  Like you said, either a bisector or a center line.

The sketch has two lines that are anchored in place.  The third sketch line needs to be constrained so that it is symmetric between them.  Currently, you must have the line of symmetry.

The current symmetry constraint is really just a mirror constraint that does not delete the original geometry.

Like I said I think that is what you are saying.  Can you explain what you meant in your last line?  If lines 1 and 2 are fixed, you cannot do anything with line three.
