Update numbered/bulleted text

Update numbered/bulleted text

Bulletted text should be able to use any symbol in fonts via character map like you can in the text editor itself.

Numbered text needs help. It should function just like words with multiple levels and be able to start at any number you wish. It shouldn't be mandatory to start with 1. What if your notes sheet starts with 1 and runs out of space on page 1 and has to go to page 2? You can't pick up with 58 on page 2, or start at 2.1 or anything.

1.

2.

-----A

-----B

-----C

----------i

----------ii

--------------a

--------------b

etc. The outline should flow as far as you need it. Well, 3 levels minimum at least should account for most cases.

To have a style in the style library to change the look of the bullets and numbering used in the text dialogue box.

Simple text management and spell checking in Inventor,

after 20 years I think we all deserve it.

Spell check is already in Inventor 2019, go to the application options to turn it on or off.

Yes, if you have ever tried to use it (Spell Check) you must agree that it is useless and time consuming.

(its easier to save the idw to autocad and spell check it there, still time consuming if multiple drawings in set, but better that Inventor).

Needs to be a one button to check ALL (including title blocks / rev boxes/ standard definitions etc) spelling in an idw and multisheet.

If you're going to implement something make sure it actually does it's job faster and more conviently than going to another window and loading google...

@teepee11 Hehe, would be better if automatic or a toggle on keyboard.

And when you press SHIFT + ENTER, it should start a new line and then indent to the same level as the previous line, just like in AutoCAD.

Can anyone from Autodesk tell us if this is being worked on?

AutoCAD has had this ability for quite some time but Inventor still lags behind.  It would be really nice to have the ability to create sub-bulleted text within the bulleted text (see example below).

1.   Bullet text.

      1.1.   Sub-bulleted text.

Thanks,

There have already been some ideas for adapting various features to the Autocad editor.
It makes sense to equip the inventory editor with the same commands as the autocad editor.

Please bring the text editor up to AutoCAD's standards.
