Yes, we all know that the Tube & Pipe Master Run Assembly template is Piping Runs.iam, and is found in your Design Data folder....
But, what we would like is the ability to set up some sort of configuration file or something, that specifies template files to be used for the creation of individual pipe RUNS & ROUTES. Right now Inventor defaults to the Standard.iam for pipe runs, and Standard.ipt for routes. We would like the ability to create a unique template for just these purposes and set things up in them as needed in order to fully customize the piping environment. Example: iproperties could be filled out in advance in the templates, and any custom iproperties added, styles could be setup, units, parameters.,... whatever the user needs. Perhaps this becomes nothing more than a few added lines to the Files tab in Application Options.
