Trick for angular quotation

Trick for angular quotation

Hi,

with Solidworks I had possibilities to have a great strument for have a faster angular quotation.

I selected the line, CTRL+point were the angled line started and a cross appeared.

I selected the side of the cross I wanted and the angularr quote was defined from that line.

Automatically Solidworks created a virtual line for refered the quote.

Just to clarify, are you describing a quick way to draw a line at an angle?

In inventor, start the line command, left click to place the starting point, then (before you click the second point) press the TAB key until the angle input box highlights.

Type in your angle, and the dimension parameter will be created and the line locked to your angle. Now left click to place the end point of the line.

Does that help?

No, I was looking for a fast way to insert an angular quote without drawing a line for reference.

With this way if I change the angle in the parts the line remain locked?

Thanks!

I'm sorry - you're going to have to explain some more.

What is an 'Angular Quote' ?

Can you create a screenshot or screencast to illustrate your idea?
