So it's cool that there's an easy way to put threads on parts, but it's kind of silly that you can't change the thread class. Metric seems to be stuck at 6H/h and there's FAR more options out there; 6G/g, 5g6g, etc.
No matter if you choose ANSI or ISO, there's not enough options, which means the ANSI and ISO specs, which are something Autodesk surely has access to, aren't even covered in totality within this expensive software. Please, let me know if there's a way to activate this.
Unified threads are a bit better, but there's still room for improvement, and Metric is more current anyways.
Remember, this is supposed to be a convenience feature, so if I have to "hack" my prints by deleting the Thread Class Property, <THRC> and actually input the right tolerance class, it's not very convenient or reliable AT ALL.
For example, if I decide to edit that hole feature again, I risk the software changing my inputted value back to the incorrect thread class description on the print. Although all of our prints are checked several times, by multiple persons, there's always a chance that it could be missed.
Once again, when the software commends the money that it does, this shouldn't be an issue. Cutting threads is of course an option, but not nearly as convenient because of the setup, which obviously has to be done perfect for each thread class out there.
If I am missing the way to do this correctly so that it can be done quicker and reliably, please let me know. My Google searches left me still having to hack my prints unfortunately. I don't think most people even know it's a property worth paying attention to, until they have fastener and threaded hole interference problem..... Regardless we'd like to be able to design parts as completely and thoroughly as possible. Thanks.
