Task Scheduler to create iLogic triggers in existing files

Not sure if this functionality exists already.

But I think it would be great to have a task in the task scheduler that could create ilogic triggers in existing Inventor files.

I'd be happy if it worked as follows.

Note your external rule would already be created and saved where your external rules go..

#1-create a new "ilogic trigger push" task

#2-select the files/folders to create the trigger in

#3-select the type of trigger and the external rule to run

#4-run the task

and voila!!!! now all your files you specified would have that trigger created and the rule would run whenever you opened that file and the trigger occured

Look for the iLogic Code Injector (posted somewhere on one of the Autodesk blog sites).  It's a separate little utility that pretty much does what you're asking for.  It's designed to actually add the code and set the trigger on the new rule, so it may not be exactly what you want, but it's close.

Kudo'd anyway though, as I agree this should be integrated into a utility that comes with Inventor instead of having to track down some separate program.

I do somehting like that already with Autodesk Design Checker.

I wrote a code to place the Mass into a custom iproperties and set Design Checker to run it everytime I save a model in Inventor.  When I have a large batch of files to update, I used Task Scheduler to migrate those files even if they're alreayd at the current version of Inventor.

The end result is that the custom iproperty is updated with the correct Mass.
